MBT shoes nothing special

by Debbie
(New York, NY)

I am wearing my MBT shoes as I write, but I don't find them any more comfortable or beneficial for my feet than other rubber soled shoes.

I've never had any trouble walking or balancing in them, and I never wear them loose. I wish I had glowing things to say about them like the other folks, but it's not been my experience.

Steve's comment:

Thanks for sharing - I think your comment highlights the fact that not everyone is the same and that MBTs aren't necessarily going to work for everyone.

What works for you may not work for me. We're all different.

MBTs practically worn out

by Emma
(UK)

My husband has practically worn out his MBTs and wears them on a daily basis. They have really helped his posture and lower back pain over a 2 year period.

However, I'm just not getting along with mine at all. I can't tie them tight enough. They come loose all the time, they rub the back of my heels and I get blisters after about 30 mins. I've tried wearing thicker socks and insoles and have persevered for 1 year. I've come to the conclusion that I was sold the wrong size. I'm really disappointed due to the high cost.

I asked a friend who has larger feet than me to try them and she thought they fitted her perfectly.

Needless to say I bought them in a different shop from my husband. I certainly can't take them back or sell them on after a year. Bummer.

What a relief...

by Tina

What a relief to read your info on MBT shoes. I bought a pair less than two weeks ago and wanted to wear them a lot, but my back started hurting sooooo much after the first few days. I stopped wearing them and my back was better, but that scared me.

Most of the websites talking about MBTs have a financial interest, so I discounted their information. Your website gives me confidence to keep trying. I can deal with the pain as long as I know I am not doing any harm. I guess I just need to slow down my learning curve.

Thanks for your help!
